The UCSB Library has a variety of study areas and meeting spaces, including designated quiet floors, Late Night Study, Reservable and Drop-In Group Study Rooms, a Presentation Practice Room, and reservable meeting space.

Group Study Rooms and Collaboration Spaces
Reservable and Drop-In Group Study Rooms are located throughout the UCSB Library for UCSB students, faculty, and staff groups of 2-10 people. Reservable Group Study Rooms can be booked by UCSB students, faculty, and staff up to 2 weeks in advance and for 4 hours per week through an online reservation system.
Presentation Practice Room
Located on the 1st Floor Mountain Side (room 1506), the Presentation Practice Room allows you to practice, refine, and record oral and multimedia presentations for classes and seminars, conferences, teaching preparation, the Grad and Undergrad Slam, thesis defenses, and other events. The room can be booked by UCSB students, faculty, and staff up to 2 weeks in advance and for up to 4 hours per week through an online reservation system.
Late Night Study
Students, faculty, and staff with valid UCSB Access ID cards can access the Library during Late Night Study by entering through the Paseo West entrance.
Floors 5-8 are designated quiet floors.

There are three quiet study rooms just for graduate students.
A reading room just for UCSB faculty, researchers, and lecturers is located on the first floor Mountain Side (Room 1520A).
Art & Architecture Seminar Room
Located within the Art & Architecture Collection on 1st Floor Mountain Side, this seminar room (Room 1411) is available to UCSB faculty and graduate students with valid UCSB Access ID cards after regular business hours.
Instruction & Training Room 1312 is available for occasional meeting and special event bookings by representatives of UCSB departments and offices.
