The UCSB Library is changing the way we provide access to videos on Kanopy (kanopystreaming.com). Escalating usage and the resulting license fees required the Library to evaluate the model of unrestricted access launched in 2015, and due to the limited collections budget, replace it with a more targeted approach:
- In UCSB Library Search, search for “kanopy” and then select the Audio Visual resource type on the left to find nearly 300 Kanopy videos, each available for unlimited UCSB viewing up to its license expiration date, which you can find by clicking on the title
- Contact your subject librarian if you find a video on Kanopy that’s not in the Library collections and that you’d like to use for teaching.
