We’re in the final stretch! After four years of planning and preparation, UC Library Search, the new system-wide integrated library system, is about to go live.

On July 27, 2021, UC Library Search will permanently replace Melvyl and all UC library catalogs as the search tool for all ten UC campus libraries, making it easier to locate materials across the UC system.

We’ve made a number of announcements leading up to the change. You can find additional information about the project on the UC Library Search website.  Please review these prior news releases before July 27 for more details about service changes and disruptions.

Below is a sneak peek of what UCSB Library’s homepage will look like starting next Tuesday. UC Library Search will replace both UCSB Library Search and Melvyl in the tile menu on the left-hand side.

This project has involved the collaboration and cooperation of librarians and library staff members at all ten UC campuses and a tremendous amount of time and energy, and we’re proud to see its final form. If you have any questions or comments, please submit them using our UC Library Search Comments form.
