Media Rooms Guidelines for Use
- The Media Rooms are available for UCSB students, faculty, and staff.
- The Media Rooms may not be used for instruction, office hours, standing meetings, or general study. If you need a study room, please reserve or drop-in to a Group Study Room.
- Library furniture or equipment may not be moved in or out of the rooms.
- Users are responsible for any damage or loss of equipment that occurs during the time of their reservation.
- The Library is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal property. Do not leave your belongings unattended; other Access Card holders have access to the room.
- Users should clean up after themselves and leave the area in good condition, including turning off all audio/video equipment, logging-out of the computer, erasing the white board, and wiping down headphones (wipes provided immediately outside the rooms).
- Please maintain reasonable noise levels and keep the doors to all Media Rooms closed at all times. The Multimedia Studio is not fully soundproofed. It is intended for spoken word audio/video recording or listening only. Users recording live music, either vocal or instrumental, will be asked to vacate the Studio.
- Food or drink are not allowed in the Media Rooms, with the exception of the Practice Presentation Room.
- Failure to follow guidelines may result in users being asked to leave the area or the Library and/or in the loss of reservation privileges.
- For assistance with the Media Rooms, email mediarooms@library.ucsb.edu.
