This event is an example driven workshop series for basic python computing. non-programmers or novice programmers in this series will learn to write code and learn best practices for using Python for data analysis. Python is commonly used in many scientific disciplines for statistical analysis and computing. We will meet for 3 hours from 9AM - 12PM every Wednesday and Thursday on August 19, 20, 26, 27, and September 2. Short tutorials alternate with hands-on practical exercises, and participants are encouraged both to help one another, and try applying what they have learned to their own research problems during, and between sessions.
