Frequently Requested Publications

Daily Nexus and preceding titles, including El Gaucho - The Daily Nexus is available in several different formats and in several different locations. Current issues and articles back to 2015 are available on the Nexus website. Current issues are available in the Main Library's Main Serials Reading Area on the first floor of the UCSB Library. Microfilm copies of issues from 1934 to 2002 are available in the microfilm area on the 2nd floor of the UCSB Library across from the ocean elevators at LB3621.65 D35. Special Collections holds copies from 1923 to the current issue. They are available to browse online in the Alexandria Digital Research Library.

General Catalog - The General Catalog is available in several different formats and in several different locations. Catalogs from the 2006/2007 academic year to current are available online. Catalogs from 1916 to 2003 are available on microfilm in the Government Information area on the 2nd floor of the UCSB Library. Special Collections has copies of the General Catalog from the early 1900s to the last print issue, 2009/2010, in the University Archives. La Cumbre yearbook - The La Cumbre yearbook is available in the Main Library and in Special Collections. The Main Library holds copies from 1923 to 2010, which are available on the sixth floor of the UCSB Library. Special Collections holds copies from 1921 to 2011, in both the Reading Room and the University Archives. Call no.: LD800 .S35L.

Campus Directory - The directories can be helpful in answering a variety of questions about UCSB.  Special Collections holds copies from 1954 to the current issue. The current directory can also be searched online. Call no.: LD781.S3b U55.

List of Serials

The University Archives holds a large number of university publications, including administrative, departmental, and student serials. These publications are currently in the process of being cataloged and may not yet appear in the library catalog. Please check our Alphabetical List of Serials.
