John Pickard and Frank Provo were writers of radio and television shows. Among the series they created were: Wendy Warren and the News (CBS, 1947-1958) for radio and Concerning Miss Marlowe (NBC, 1954-1955) and From These Roots (NBC, 1958-1960) for television. This collection consists of scripts of these and other programs. Pickard and Provo wrote occasional episodes for programs such as Young Doctor Malone, The Doctors, The Nurses, and Love of Life. This collection also includes scripts from Australian Broadcasting Company programs that Pickard wrote, directed, or acted in (circa 1932-1935) prior to his emigration to the United States. Presentation scripts for proposed television and radio series, manuscripts of plays and novels, and correspondence are also included in the collection.
