This event is a three-day, example-driven workshop on October 18, 19, and 20, 2022 for an introduction on using the bash terminal, and utilizing the terminal to practice version control with Git. We get you started on how to use the command shell. The use of a shell allows you to perform complex and powerful tasks, often with just a few keystrokes or lines of code. It helps automate repetitive tasks and easily combine smaller tasks into larger, more efficient workflows. We then go over how to practice version control; and never lose track of your progress and edits while collaborating with others. This workshop will assume no prior knowledge of the skills or tools.

See https://software-carpentry.org for more information about the organization.

This event runs from Tuesday - Thursday, October 18th, 19th, and 20th, from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm.
