For the 7th year, UCSB Library will exhibit the winners of the annual Art of Science competition organized by UCSB’s Schuller Lab and Center for Science and Engineering Partnerships at the California NanoSystems Institute. This year we are excited to announce a new competition category for "Best Data Visualization."
The Art of Science initiative invites current UCSB undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs to tell the story of their research through the aesthetic. Whether it be striking spectroscopic images of a new material, data from a series of simulations, interesting photos of a device or instrument, visual data stories, or some other aspect of research captured visually, we invite you to share it. For ideas on data visualization submissions, check out the Information Is Beautiful and Iron-Viz websites.
The UCSB Library is proud to showcase these eye-opening and defining intersections of art and science.
