Subject librarian for
Jane Faulkner is the Subject Librarian for Comparative Literature, English, French, Italian, German, U.S. History, and World History, and the Selector for French materials. Her roles during nearly three decades at UCSB Library have been many and varied, among them Student Success Librarian, Instruction Coordinator, Outreach & Marketing Chair, Collection Manager, and Circulation Desk Supervisor. Jane graduated from UC Irvine with a B.A. in French Literature, summa cum laude, and holds a Diplôme National from the Université Paul Valéry and a Master’s degree in Library & Information Science from UCLA. She is a former competitive cyclist and a two-time California-Nevada State road bike champion. Her passions outside of work are her granddaughters and exploring the world by bicycle, in that order.
