Subject librarian for
Charles F. (Chuck) Huber has been a Subject Librarian at the UCSB Library since June 1987. He received his B.S. in chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 1976, and attended MIT for graduate study in inorganic chemistry. After several years in research and development for USG Corp., he returned to UIUC to get his M.S. in Library and Information Science in 1987. He is currently subject liaison to the departments of Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Materials, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Statistics and Applied Probability and Technology Management, as well as to the departments in the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education. Chuck has served as the chair of the American Chemical Society (ACS) Division of Chemical Information, and as a board member of the California Los Padres local section of ACS.
