Anne Cong-Huyen is a Research & Engagement Librarian. She holds a Ph.D. in English from UCSB, an M.A. in Literature & Writing from California State University San Marcos, and a B.A. in Literature from UC San Diego. Previously, she was Director of Digital Scholarship at the Columbia University Libraries, and at University of Michigan Library, where she was the Director of Digital Scholarship and faculty in the Digital Studies Institute and Asian Pacific-Islander/American Studies. She serves on the Steering Committee of HASTAC and is on the editorial board of the Digital Cultures book series for the University of Michigan Press. Her writing has been published in The Los Angeles Review of Books, American Quarterly, Debates in the Digital Humanities, and other publications.
At UCSB, her work includes supporting the research and teaching of faculty and students in the departments of Anthropology, Asian American Studies, Black Studies, Communication, and Global Studies. She also helps coordinate general open workshops, and teaches a range of workshops in collaboration with colleagues on topics such as open access publishing, digital research, and professionalization for graduate students.
