Principles and Practices of Data Visualization
Register Now
Data visualizations help reveal patterns in data and communicate research findings. This workshop will introduce core principles that shape how people perceive and interpret visual information. We will discuss how visual encoding choices, design decisions, and common perceptual pitfalls can influence what viewers see in a figure. Through examples and short interactive activities, we will explore practical strategies for designing visualizations that highlight key patterns and support clear comparisons.
Researchers from all disciplines are welcome. This workshop will be of particular interest to graduate students and postdocs.
