Collaboratory workstations

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some software applications are only available in the Collaboratory. We have listed resources for our endusers in terms of accessibility and availability outside of the Collaboratory. Please email us at library-collaboratory [at] ucsb [dot] edu for assistance.

Hardware:

Our 10 Collaboratory workstations are outfitted as follows:

  • 2x Intel® Xeon processors (2.4GHz, 24 total cores)
  • 128GB DDR4 RAM
  • 1TB Solid State Drive
  • 32" 4K displays (3840x2160) on 9 workstations

The Collaboratory team is interested in supporting current research and teaching throughout campus. Suggestions for additional software are welcome from UCSB affiliates. 

Oversize Displays

The Collaboratory has three 85" 4K (3840x2160) displays and one projector. Researchers working from Collaboratory workstations can project their work onto any of these displays. Devices can also be wirelessly connected to the monitors using the Clickshare. See Collaboratory staff for assistance with showing work on these displays.
