The Garrett Starmer collection consists of about 1.6 liner feet of scripts that have been collected by Starmer. These scripts were written in the 1940s for the Writers War Board, Radioplay Service and the documentaries were written and performed via CBS, NBC, ABC and the Mutual Broadcasting System. Garrett Starmer was, himself, a professional actor for a short time, and then spent much of his career as a professor of speech and drama at various colleges and universities in California.
