Yarn and crochet hooks

Meet up with your fellow fiber artists at the Makerspace. This event is just a casual, drop-in event where you can work on crochet, knitting, or any other yarn art. Feel free to start a new project, or bring a project you've been working on. We will provide yarn, crochet hooks, and knitting needles. A sample pattern will be provided for anyone who wishes to follow along.

Laser cutter

Join us for a hands-on journey into the world of laser cutting, where you'll learn how to turn your digital design ideas into physical objects. We will provide template designs available for you to customize so that you get to experience the process from start to finish. Everyone will get to take home a small laser cut keychain. No experience needed!

3D printing

Join us for a guided tutorial where you will learn to 3D model in Autodesk Fusion. You will be able to send your models directly to our 3D printers and later pick up your one-of-a-kind design. No experience needed!

This is an introduction to R designed for participants with no programming experience. The workshop will start with some basic information about R syntax, the RStudio interface, and move through how to import CSV files, the structure of data frames, how to deal with factors, how to add/remove rows and columns, how to calculate summary statistics from a data frame, and a brief introduction to plotting.
