Understanding Creative Commons Licenses

This UCSB Library interactive workshop introduces the fundamentals of Creative Commons (CC) licensing and its role in supporting teaching, learning, and knowledge sharing. Participants will learn to identify, select, use, and apply CC licenses responsibly; understand the differences among license types; and explore how open licenses enable the legal reuse and sharing of educational and scholarly materials. While attendance of the Copyright workshop is encouraged, no prior experience is required.
