Software Carpentry for Faculty
This event is an example-driven two-day workshop for FACULTY on basic computing skills. Short tutorials alternate with hands-on practical exercises, and participants are encouraged both to help one another, and to try applying what they have learned to their own research problems during and between sessions. Participants should bring their own laptop to work on. This should be a Windows, Mac, or Linux machine, not a Chromebook or tablet. You should also be sure to have admin privileges on your laptop.
See https://software-carpentry.org for more information about the organization.
For more information about this workshop, see our class page: https://ucsbcarpentry.github.io/2019-03-21-UCSBLibrary/.
Participants are asked to complete our pre- and post-workshop survey to help us understand how to serve you. The survey links can be found on the class page (see link above).
This workshop is for FACULTY ONLY.
