ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online are a powerful software duo that support geospatial data processing, analysis, visualization, and the cloud-based sharing of geospatial products. In this one-day, example-driven workshop, we’ll review how to most effectively use these two ESRI tools. Some knowledge of either is highly recommended (you may review a bit about each here). Participants will explore ArcGIS Pro’s interface and common toolboxes, as well as learn about data and project organization. We’ll walk through a real-world example using local data to practice building a map with ArcGIS Pro, uploading content to ArcGIS Online, and finally, building a StoryMap.
Prerequisites:
1. UCSB AGO Account. If you do not have one, create one by signing into: https://ucsb.maps.arcgis.com/
2. ArcGIS Pro: You can request a license on our Esri Support site if you have a Windows device. If you are on a Mac, please request a Geospatial VM on the DREAM Lab’s page for virtual machines and remote access.
This event runs on Friday May 5, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.
