The UCSB Library is offering a workshop for graduate students on managing professional identities online. This workshop is designed to teach students and early career professionals about researcher profiles (e.g. ORCID), communicating research impact, and curating professional profiles online on personal portfolio sites or institutional ones.

In this workshop we will cover:

  • Identifying goals for communicating your professional identity, values, and your work
  • Researcher profiles, and signing up for ORCID
  • Capturing and measuring your research impact
  • Tools and platforms available to you as you bring it all together to curate your online presence

This workshop is open to all graduate students, early career scholars, and anyone interested in the topic. Snacks will be provided
