This event is a two-day, example-driven workshop on April 25-26, 2023 for an introduction on utilizing the terminal to use version control with Git. We will get you started on how to use the command shell/bash to use git. The use of a shell allows you to perform complex and powerful tasks, often with just a few keystrokes or lines of code. It helps automate repetitive tasks and easily combine smaller tasks into larger, more efficient workflows. We then go over how to practice version control; and never lose track of your progress and edits while collaborating with others. This workshop will assume no prior knowledge of the skills or tools.
See https://software-carpentry.org for more information about the organization.
This event runs from Tuesday - Wednesday, April 25- 26, from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm.
