Not sure where to start—or how to keep up—with the flood of new papers in your field? Got a bunch of unread PDFs in your downloads folder? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn practical strategies for finding relevant literature (beyond just Google), managing your growing collection of papers, and reading and annotating efficiently so you actually remember what you’ve read. We’ll explore tools for searching databases, tracking citations, organizing references, and keeping up-to-date with the literature. You’ll leave with a personalized plan for staying connected to the research that matters most to you.

This workshop is open to everyone, but will be especially helpful for advanced undergrads and graduate students.

Co-Sponsors: UCSB Graduate Division and the Graduate Student Resource Center.
