Peer review plays a central role in scholarly publishing, but it also faces well-documented challenges. This session introduces emerging models — including open peer review and preprint-based review — and helps you navigate these changes as a researcher.
The Data to Discovery Series is hosted by Research Data Services (RDS) @ the UCSB Library. Every two weeks, we will spotlight a key principle of working with data and engaging in open science. These 30-minute sessions provide quick introductions to practical tools, useful resources, and proven practices—alongside with opportunities to hear from experts and connect with fellow researchers. Whether you’re starting out or refining your workflow, Data to Discovery offers a welcoming space to strengthen your skills and spark new ideas.
