Join the Transfer Student Center (TSC) in partnership with the UCSB Library, UCSB Reads, and the Asian American Studies Department, for a special 2-part TSC Book Club featuring UCSB Reads 2026 Pick Crying in H-Mart! As part of the book club, you will have the chance to read Zauner's bestselling memoir while engaging in post-reading discussions and connecting with fellow students.

This book club is open to all and designed to help students connect with the transfer community and (re)discover their love of reading!

The first meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 17th, at 2 pm in the Transfer Student Center. The initial meeting will focus on the structure of the book club and the distribution of Crying in H-Mart copies. After this, the second meeting will take place on Thursday, February 26th at 2 pm in the Transfer Student Center to discuss the book's central themes. 

Snacks and Coffee will be provided.
