Students will learn and become familiar with using web-based mapping software while supporting a humanitarian effort that will ultimately impact communities across the world.

Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team is an international team dedicated to humanitarian action and community development through open mapping.

We work together to provide map data which revolutionizes disaster management, reduces risks, and contributes to achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.

For this mapathon, we will be contributing to a project supported by Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

Prerequisites:

Please bring your own laptop to this event.

Workshop attendees will need to create a free account at https://OpenStreetMap.org and after that at https://tasks.hotosm.org/

We will use the browser ID-editor to map this project.
