The open access PASCAL and FRANCIS database is created by the Institut de l'Information Scientifique et Technique of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (INIST-CNRS). It contains over 14 million articles, conference papers, and conference proceedings produced by the CNRS from 1984-2015 (PASCAL) and 1972-2015 (FRANCIS) and covers multilingual information in the humanities, social sciences, and economics. International in scope, it is strong in religion, the history of art, and literature, with particular emphasis on current trends in European and world literature.The database is updated regularly.
