Edouard Pecourt in front of his shop, ParisRecord and cylinder collection of Parisian record dealer Edouard Pecourt, who owned La Boîte à Disques at 58 bis Rue du Louvre from the early 1950s until moving to Portland, Oregon in 1986. His extraordinarly collection includes approximately 3,500 cylinders and 15,000 discs, mostly early French repertoire from the late 1890s through the 1930s. He was also a noted collector of tango recordings, which is still owned by his wife.

The cylinders from his collection are being cataloged (and will eventually be digitized) through the UCSB Cylinder Audio Archive.
