New EGSL Display for Black History Month

Lyndon Johnson signs Civil Rights ActThe theme for Black History Month 2014 is " Civil Rights in America." A new display in the Ethnic & Gender Studies Library (2nd floor) chronicles the lives and contributions of three international, political and cultural icons in their battle for civil rights and equal treatment under the law: Nelson Mandela, Amiri Baraka, and Martin Luther King, Jr. The display also commemorates the Golden Jubilee of the 1964 Civil Rights Acts.
