UCen Extends Night Hours; Alternative Study Space During High Construction Noise

During this period of high construction noise levels during overnight hours in the Library (12-8am), students looking for quiet study space have a new late-night option: the UCen. The UCen has expanded its hours of operation:

M-Th: 7:30am-1am
F: 7:30am-6pm
Sat: 9am-6pm
Sun: 12pm-1am

In addition to the expanded hours of operation, new study space has been created on the 3rd floor (above the Bookstore Lobby) to include a laptop lab with 30 spaces and several smaller study rooms. All public areas of the UCen will be made available when the building is open, including lounges, the Hub and the Computer Lounge. When evening events are being held in the Hub (concerts, dances, etc.), the Hub area will be closed. There are a total of 350 seats available in the UCen.

To accommodate students studying late at night vending machines have been installed in the Bookstore lobby and on the 3rd floor. They  include drinks, snacks, coffee/tea, and food. New electrical outlets have been installed in the Bookstore Lobby and in the 3rd floor study areas as well.
