UCSB co-organizes WAML-UCLA

WAML, the Western Association of Map Libraries, will have its 2014 meeting on the campus of UCLA.  Jointly organized by UCLA's Louise Ratliff and UCSB's Jon Jablonski, the meeting will bring together spatial data information managers from around the Western US and Canada for two days of presentations and workshops.  Highlighting the library-centered mapping efforts, the meeting will include presentations on the spatial humanities, xml-metadata vocabularies and tools, using GIS to study landscape change, and others.

Details about the meeting, and links to more information, will be appearing at the Conference Home Page.
