The Library is excited to announce the selection of a book for UCSB Reads 2013 — Moonwalking With Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything, by Joshua Foer (Penguin, 2011).
Moonwalking With Einstein is an entertaining and illuminating book of literary journalism. Bringing together cognitive science, cultural history, Classics, and philosophy, it takes a fresh cross-disciplinary look at human memory, while exploring the meaning of education and expertise.
The author will give a free public lecture in Campbell Hall on March 4, 2013 . During the winter quarter, the UCSB Library—along with the Santa Barbara Public Library and Santa Barbara City College—will sponsor numerous book-related and thematic events and activities leading up to the author's visit.
