This collection (1,370 titles) is reprints of local gazetteers compiled mainly in Qing Dynasty (1644-1910); a few in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644; and others from the republican era (1911-1949). Often compiled by local officials or elites, local gazetteers provide rich information on local administrations, local cultures, local economies, local officials, and local dignitaries.
