In order to enter the Library building and use your reserved seat, you will need to do the following:

  • Complete a daily campus COVID-19 Self Assessment survey and attain a green authorization badge. 

    • Please be aware that it can take 1-2 business days to get your badge activated. Plan ahead accordingly.

    • Users who have not cleared the assessment or are showing symptoms of COVID-19 will not be permitted access to the building. 

  • Wear a facemask. 

    • Free masks will be available for students who need them.

  • Provide confirmation of seat reservation via LibCal Seats to the Library staffer at check-in.

    • This is in the confirmation email you received upon making a reservation.

  • Show your UCSB Access Card or another form of photo identification.

You must check-in within the first 30 minutes of your reservation or your reservation will automatically be canceled and your seat will become available for another user to reserve.

Please arrive at the beginning of your reservation time. Early entry will not be permitted.

Users must enter at the Library's Mountain Side entrance (across from The Arbor store).
