The HistoryMakers Digital Archive is a collection of over 3,000 video oral histories.  The testimonies reveal the broad scope of narratives of African American men and women who have made significant contributions to American life, history, and culture during the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries.

  1. Connect to the UCSB Pulse VPN client to access this database from off campus.

  3. Once you enter the The HistoryMakers Digital Archive home page, you will need to use the blue and red navigation link bars within the site to move back and forward. Do not use your browser back and forward arrows.

  1. Access The HistoryMakers Digital Archive
  2. Sign in using your UCSBnet ID and password to access this database from off campus. 
  3. Once you enter The HistoryMakers Digital Archive, you will need to use the blue and red navigation link bars within the site to move back and forward. Do not use your browser back and forward arrows.
