One of the central challenges facing democracies today is finding ways to build the power and voice of all people. With a rising number of right wing movements threatening democracy across the world, the question is more urgent than ever.

This panel will feature discussions about the role of organizing in this moment by Harvard professor Marshall Ganz, a famed organizer with the Civil Rights Movement and the California Farmworker Movement, and Elizabeth McKenna, a PhD Candidate in Sociology at UC Berkeley studying the rise of right wing movements in Brazil. Dean of Social Sciences Charles Hale will moderate the panel.
