Gerry McKiernan currently serves as the Coordinator, Science and
Technology Section, Reference and Instructional Services Department at
Iowa State University, Ames. Prior to assuming his present position,
Gerry served as an Information Services Librarian and Reference Librarian
at Iowa State with specialization in the life and physical sciences.
Before joining ISU in April 1987, Gerry served as the Museum Librarian of
the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh, PA, its director and
head librarian. Gerry is a native of the Bronx, New York and served as an
Assistant Librarian from 1978 to 1983 with the Library of the New York
Botanical Garden.
