Brian Schottlaender, is Associate University Librarian for Collections and Technical Services at UCLA. A former Chair of the ALA Committee for Cataloging: Description and Access, he is currently the ALA Representative to the Joint Steering Committee for the Revision of AACR, and Chair-Elect of CONSER, the national program for serials cataloging.

Bruce Miller is a lost rare book cataloger who has wandered through authority control controversies, multilingual computer systems, computer health issues, and disaster preparation, with significant side trips into science fiction, while trying to find his way back to the stacks. He is having lots of fun in the interim in an ongoing search for the perfect intuitive interactive interface to information resources.
