Charlotte B. Brown has been an archivist and librarian for twenty years, first working in the New England area - at Harvard University's medical library special collections - then in the Mid-Atlantic states - at the University of Maryland and at a small liberal arts College, Franklin & Marshall College.

Since June 1992, Charlotte has been the Assistant Head and University Archivist at UCLA. Besides having an expertise in archival theory and practice, Charlotte also has substantial knowledge and experience in most aspects of library and archival preservation.

David C. Tambo has been Head of Special Collections at UCSB since 1991. Special Collections holds approximately 250,000 books and 9,000 linear feet of manuscripts. Previously he was Head of Archives & Manuscripts at Ball State University and Archival Assistant at the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. He received an M.A. in history, and MLS and archival training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
