Jerry Breeze has a B.A. in Latin American Studies and M.L.S in Library Science, both from the University of Texas at Austin.

He has library experience at the University of Texas at Austin in the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center and the Perry-Castaneda Library Reference Department. For the last 10 years, he has worked in the Columbia University Libraries in various capacities, for over the last three years as the Head of the Documents Service Center, a depository for both United States and New York State documents.
