UCSB is a selective depository for the United States
Government. The Government Printing Office provides government information
at no cost to designated depository libraries throughout the country. These
libraries, in turn, provide local, no-fee access to government information
in all formats in an impartial environment with professional assistance. Any
member of the public may visit these depository libraries and use the Federal
depository collections.
Most publications can be identified through our PEGASUS catalog. In addition, there are
older publications housed in the Annex, our local
storage facility. We have a large collection of technical reports: some can
be accessed online, while many others are in the Government Information Center. Refer to the technical reports guide
for more detailed information.
