The Geography collection-development policy is composed of the following major subject categories: geography (including
cartography, geographic information systems, urban geography, economic geography, etc.); geomorphology; hydrology;
geodesy; meteorology and climatology; agriculture; soils; forestry; surveying; and remote sensing.  The Maps & Imagery
collection-development policy is composed of the following major format and subject areas: maps and remote-sensing

The UCSB Geography Department and the Map and Imagery Laboratory are important information resources for geography.
