The resources on this guide are starting points for finding
information on careers and internships in Environmental Sciences. Ask a reference librarian for further

- UCSB's Career Services
Located in Building 599, the "pink building." Offers a variety of services to help UCSB students assess their
strengths, values, and interests. They have information on careers and internships, listings of
job openings, and information on employers, and they can help you figure out what you want.
- The Environmental Studies Program
includes a link to their Environmental Studies
Internship Program (ESIP). Current listings are available at the UCSB Environmental Studies Peer Advisor's Office
located in Girvetz 2325. The office also contains a variety of job and career resources available to
help in selecting an environmental job or career suitable for you.

- The Bren School of Environmental Science
and Management contains career resources, listings of environmental jobs, and maintains a
Career Services program.

Career & Job Information is a good place to start to find information
about the career development process. The first four sections of the page
correspond to the four steps of the career development process:

Resources to help you assess your strengths, interests, and values, and relate them to
career choice.

Descriptions, forecasts, and other information about specific careers

Contains links to a wide variety of job ads

Keyword searches:

Use words that describe your topic until you find material that suits your needs.
