guide provides extensive facts and analysis covering the economic, market,
and political topics of greatest concern to potential importers and exporters.
Aimed at the U.S. business person planning to do business in a particular
country, these lengthy guides also detail current economic
trends and outlooks, information on tariffs and other barriers to trade,
laws and regulations pertaining to business operations, market prospects,
and other information on how to conduct business in the country.

Provided (ceased 2002) detailed reports and analysis of the economic conditions, policies,
and trade practices of each country with which the United States has an
economic or trade relationship. Coverage includes key economic indicators,

general economic policy, protection of intellectual property, labor regulations,
and more.

Trade Centre
From the U.N. and WTO, this site collects reports on trade conditions and
climate for foreign countries. For each country, six detailed reports
provide information on import and export performance, trade statistics,
hot markets, etc.

nations. It includes data on more than 500 topics (indicators) about the
people, economy, environment, and public finance of 210 nations. The Online
version contains time series from 1960 to the present, and data may be
exported in a variety of formats (inc. Excel, dbase, and SAS), as well
as mapped and charted.

This huge compilation of socioeconomic statistics for the countries of
the world includes many tables for import and export data, including data

WTO Trade Statistics
The World Trade Organisation makes the International Trade Statistics Yearbook available online in .pdf and excel files; it also provides historical time series in excel format.

Unit (EIU) Country Intelligence
EIU Profiles and Reports provide timely analysis and forecasts of the political,
economic, social, and business environment in a total of 126 reports about
more than 180 countries. They present the political and economic structure
of the country, the current political scene, economic policy, domestic
