Unless otherwise specified, these sites contain basic product and service descriptions and contact information.

• Acros Organics
  This site provides a catalog searchable by name, mol. formula, CAS Registry Number and SMILES substructure string. Records contain physical data, availability and links to MSDS.
• Aldrich Chemical - See Sigma-Aldrich below.
• Alfa Aesar
  This site provides contact information for the Alfa Aesar division of Johnson Matthey. An online catalog of products is available, indexed by name and CAS Registry Number. Product records provide basic physical property data, and sometimes background information.
• Argus Chemicals
  Argus Chemicals is a rare & fine chemicals firm specializing in amines, organophosphorus and organoarsenic compounds and reagents for asymmetric synthesis. The site includes a browsable partial catalog.
• BASF Corporation
  his site includes browsable and searchable catalogs of BASF's wide range of chemical products. European users may wish to go to their German site.
• BCN Chemicals, Inc.
  This site has a searchable catalog of BCN products.
• Calgon Corporation
  
• ChemConnect
  This site provides searchable catalogs of chemicals, other supplies and their manufacturers from hundreds of companies. Manufacturer listings have e-mail links and links to the manufacturer's own home pages where available.
• Chemcyclopedia 98
  This annual ACS publication provides searchable and browsable lists of various categories of commercially available chemicals from hundreds of companies, with links to manufacturer contact information. No prices or links to manufacturers home pages are given.
• ChemExper
  This site provides a searchable catalog of chemicals from over twenty different chemical companies, searchable by name, molecular formula and CAS Registry Number. Records include basic physical data, availability information and MSDS from the U. of Utah database.
• ChemExpo - Virtual Trade Show
  This site contains a large searchable list of chemical companies and their products, with contact information for the companies, as well as a chemical industry news section.
• Dojindo Laboratories
  This site includes browsable and searchable catalogs of Dojindo's collection of bioscience and analytical reagents, as well as MSDS for all their products.
• Dow Chemical Co.

• Eastman Chemicals
  This site includes contact and employment opportunities information. There is some property data on Eastman products available, but it is very poorly organized and difficult to locate or extract.
• Fisher Scientific
  The Fisher chemical catalog is searchable by name, molecular formula or CAS Registry Number, and Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are available online linked to the catalog record.
• General Electric (GE) Plastics

• Harris Specialty Chemicals (This link was unavailable on 4/13/98.)
  Includes a searchable catalog for their PCR research chemicals division.
• Hoechst AG
• J.M. Huber Co.
  J.M. Huber is principally a manufacturer of silicas, silicates and clays.
• Lancaster Synthesis
  Lancaster's web site includes contact and order information. The company's searchable catalog is not located at this site, but they do have a link to one at the WWW Chemicals site which provides CAS Registry Numbers, molecular formula and weight and a variety of physical data.
• Oakwood Research Chemicals
  Specializing in organic synthons and fluorochemicals. Contact information available but no online catalog yet.
• Pilot Chemical Co.
  Pilot Chemical is a custom surfactants manufacturer.
• Rhône-Poulenc
  Now includes a link to their safety data sheets server.

  SciQuest provides a searchable and browsable collection of links to a vast number of chemical and equipment suppliers.
• Shell Chemical Co.
• Sigma-Aldrich Chemical Co.
  Sigma-Aldrich Chemical's web site features crudely searchable separate catalogs for Sigma, Aldrich and Fluka. It also has information on Sigma's biochemical lines and SAF bulk chemicals, product information sheets for Sigma chemicals and the full text of recent issues of Aldrichimica Acta.

  A manufacturer of spectroscopic cells and cuvettes. This site contains a complete catalog with prices.

• Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc.
  ACD produces chemical drawing and property prediction software. ACD/ChemSketch 1.0 is downloadable freeware. Currently, this site offers the ACD/ILab, a structure-based property prediction software tool using a Web/Java interface. It is now available by subscription, but a free demo is available.
• ARSoftware
  ARSoftware offers a variety of software, mainly for thermodynamic and molecular modeling. Downloadable demo versions are available here.
• Bio-Rad Laboratories
  Bio-Rad, noted producer of life-science and analytical products, is also the owner of Sadtler, with databases for IR, Raman and NMR spectroscopy and Softshell, producers of ChemIntosh and ChemWindow structure drawing software. This site has ChemWeb, structure drawing software for creation of .gif files, available for free downloading.
• CambridgeSoft
  CambridgeSoft (formerly Cambridge Scientific Computing) produces a wide variety of applications for desktop chemical computing, including ChemOffice, ChemDraw and ChemFinder. They also provide the ChemFinder WebServer free Internet database of chemical substance information.

  Publishers of the SpecInfo spectral database, and a variety of structure elucidation software.

  Synopsys produces software which works with Microsoft Access or Excel to create chemical structure databases. It also provides the free downloadable Accord Chemistry Viewer, a helper application which allows Web browsers to display chemical structures from a variety of file formats.

  Trinity Software is a vendor of software for chemical education and research from a variety of manufacturers.
• Tripos, Inc.
  Tripos produces a wide array of molecular modeling and chemical database software. If you have a Java-enabled browser, you can try their Web-based "Sketch and Fetch" software, which allows online sketching of chemical structures, which can then be searched against several databases mounted at Tripos. The resulting structures can be viewed in VTML 3D images.
• Wavefunction, Inc.
  Wavefunction produces the Spartan series of computational chemistry software and publishes books on computational chemistry.
