The MELVYL Catalog
Cataloged resources throughout the UC system.

Articles Indexes and Databases
[Note: These are licensed resources and access is limited to the UCSB community. If you are off campus, you can use the proxy server for access.]

See the databases listed in the Help by Subject, Mathematics page.

Reference Guides for the UCSB Library
These guides provide starting points for locating materials in the library.

internet megasites
Mathworld
Described as "the web's most extensive mathematics resource," this site is sponsored by Wolfram Research, creators of Mathematica.
EULER: European Libraries and Electronic Resources in Mathematical Sciences
The EULER service provides you with a one-stop-shop in your search for mathematical resources such as books, pre-prints, web pages, abstracts, proceedings, serials, technical reports and theses.
Materials Organized by Mathematical Subject Classification
Organizes e-journals, preprints, web sites, databases, and other materials according to the Mathematical Subject Classification. From the American Mathematical Society.
Math Archives
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville presents mathematics software, preprints, bibliographies, and teaching materials.
The Math Forum Home Page
Collection of resources from Swarthmore. The "Resources by Subject" page includes resources appropriate for K-12, college, and advanced mathematics.
Mathematical Resources on the Web
The University of Florida created this comprehensive list.
Mathematics Listings from YAHOO
Very extensive listing of mathematics sites organized by topic.
Mathematics Virtual Library (Florida State University)
Well organized and comprehensive metasite for mathematics.
MathGuide from the Lower Saxony State- and University Library, Göttingen
A subject gateway to scholarly information in mathematics.
Statistics Listings from YAHOO
Very extensive listing of statistics sites organized by topic.
Statistics Virtual Library (University of Florida)
Well organized and comprehensive metasite for statistics.

Electronic Journals
View or search the complete list of electronic journals licensed by the UCSB Library. [Note: These are licensed resources and access is limited to the UCSB community. If you are off campus, you can use the proxy server for access.]
Mathematics Journals from AMS
Lists mathematics journals that are online plus web sites for printed journals.
Directory of Mathematics Preprint and e-Print Servers
Makes available the current homepage URLs and e-mail contacts of all mathematical preprint and e-print servers throughout the world. Provides mathematicians with a tool to find any of these servers in order to browse the articles posted on them and, in many cases, to post an article to the server itself.
Mathematical Subject Classification
The Mathematics Subject Classification (MSC) is used to categorize items covered by the two reviewing databases, Mathematical Reviews (MR) and Zentralblatt MATH (Zbl). The MSC is broken down into over 5,000 two-, three-, and five-digit classfications, each corresponding to a discipline of mathematics (e.g., 11 = Number theory; 11B = Sequences and sets; 11B05 = Density, gaps, topology).
MCMC (Markov Chain Monte Carlo) Preprint Service
Mathematics ArXiv
The xxx Mathematics Archive is an (e)text archive of mathematical prints maintained by Cornell University with a 'front end' at UC Davis. The Archive is searchable and allows browsing by any one of 30+ categories.
New Journals in Mathematics
New mathematics journals published or announced.
