The University of California Linguistic Minority Research Institute (LMRI), through LMRINet,
provides information accessible through the Internet to
researchers, students, and practitioners interested in
issues of language, education, and public policy,
especially as they relate to linguistic minorities.

Balch Institute for Ethnic Studies, located
in Center City Philadelphia, is a museum,
library and archive dedicated to collecting and
interpreting materials drawn from America's ethnic,
racial, and immigrant experiences. The site contains
images and information from museum & library
exhibits, archives, & manuscripts, and many links
to internet resources.
H-ETHNIC is part of the
H-NET Website
and the Humanities & Social Sciences On-Line initiative. H-ETHNIC
encourages scholarly discussion of ethnic history;
immigration and emigration studies. Online resources
include research and teaching aids, calls for papers,
conference announcements, bibliographies, exhibition
announcements, resources, syllabi and dissertations,
archive and manuscript collections, academic programs
and internet links.
INCORE is a joint initiative of the University of Ulster
and the United Nations University. The INCORE Internet Service
is a central resource on the internet for conflict resolution
and ethnic conflict. The site contains abstracts and papers;
conference proceedings; a digest of articles and book reviews,
and links to other internet resources. This site is intended
to serve not only academic researchers but also policy-makers
and practitioners.
The objective of UT International Network Information
Centers is to provide international users with access to
academic databases and information services worldwide,
and to provide area studies scholars around the world
with access to information on and from the regions
(Asia, Middle East, Latin America, Russia & Eastern
Europe) covered by different Centers.
This is a collection of links to major Internet
resources in the field of migration and ethnic relations.
It is part of the much larger WWW Virtual Library that
covers many other subjects.
(NCM) is a collaborative project between a California ethnic
media network of journalists representing more
than 50 ethnic print, electronic, and television outlets, and
the Pacific News Service. Information on NCM's television program;
a digest of news from the ethnic media and winners of the
NCM Awards Program is included on the website.
OneWorld Online is a consortium of largely United Kingdom
organizations dedicated to issues of global
justice and human sustainable development. The website
includes news, job notices, volunteer opportunites, bookshop
and services, and links to member websites.
News Watch is affiliated with San Francisco State's
Journalism Department and the members of Unity '99.
This site is an on-line resource for bringing unbiased,
fair coverage of people of color and lesbians/gays to
the news. The site contains commentary and news analysis,
links to other internet sources of media critiques, a
style guide & subscription information for the Journal.
OneWorld Online is made up of largely United Kingdom
organizations dedicated to issues of global
justice and human sustainable development. The website
includes news:
daily, weekly, by country and by theme; and a separate
section containing commentary on the
media: tv, video, radio & audio.
Generative Anthropology (GA) is a new mode of critical
thinking that applies the criterion of intellectual parsimony
to the study of cultural phenomena. Anthropoetics is
dedicated to rethinking the impasse between the humanities,
imprisoned in the "always already" of our cultural systems,
and the empirical social sciences.
CRM is published by the National Park Service. The
site contains information and articles on the history,
significance and issues around park resources, preservations
and related local, national and international initiatives,
training and conferences.
Jouvert is a refereed, multi-disciplinary
journal published biannually concerning the interrogation
of textual, cultural and political postcolonialisms.
