Our seminar room is available for UCSB classes and other groups for instructors who would like to use Special Collections materials. Special Collections staff are available for assistance. Please contact the Reading Room at (805) 893-3062 to discuss reserving and using the seminar room for your class. We ask that instructors familiarize themselves with department rules and procedures and select their materials before bringing their class to the department.

Instructors who would like to have their students use Special Collections materials as part of their classes should also contact the Reading Room to ensure that their students will be able to use the selected materials. Students should be familiar with Special Collections rules and policies prior to their arrival. All students using materials individually will need to fill out our researcher form, provide photo identification, and agree to abide by our rules and policies.

Advance notice is not required to have your class or group view exhibits in our front lobby. If you will be needing further explanation or assistance with viewing our exhibits, please contact the Reading Room staff.
