Geiringer (Bernice) Papers,
1930s-2001

Personal papers of pianist and philanthropist Bernice Geiringer,
second wife of musicologist Karl Geiringer. The collection contains
correspondence, files related to her philanthropic activity with the
Music Academy of the West, Hadassah and The Santa Barbara Music Clubs.
Geiringer (then Bernice Abrahms) also studied composition with Arnold
Schoenberg in the 1930s and her notebooks from these courses are also
in the collection.
