Various works on the history and development of the art of manuscript illumination (most from Special Collections' Printers collection) were featured. These cover both western and non-western examples of illumination as well as the art and techniques employed by the creators. In addition, a number of original manuscript fragments were featured. These include examples from various medieval works including Books of Hours, musical manuscripts and other texts from the 12th through the 15th centuries. Most of these are from Italy and France.
