Audio Files
Audio files are encoded in two formats for either streaming or downloading:
Streaming audio files are in the Quicktime (.mov)
format, indicated by the
icon. For streaming playback, your computer must have the Quicktime software
installed, which can be downloaded from the Apple
website. Quicktime software is available for Macintosh and PC computers.
After installing the Quicktime software, simply click on the controller
to listen to the file.
Downloadable audio files are available in the
mp3 format as indicated by the
icon.
Files in the mp3 format can be listened to with a variety of sofware,
including iTunes,
Winamp, Windows
Media Player and Realplayer as
well as any other player that can play mp3 files. You may need to right
click (option click on a Macintosh) the link to download the file.

The audio files were transferred from the original open reel tapes by Safe Sound Archive in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with the financial support of Neal Linson, Ceil Pulitzer, and Stanley Sheinbaum. Tape selections and project conception by Dave Tambo.
